When used as a sewing machine, the supplied 100 stitch options include six styles of one-step buttonholes with preprogramed adjustable stitch settings. Eleven of the most common stitches can be selected with the one-touch button selector and provides 600 stitches per minute. Features include 13 needle positions, needle up/down selector, electronic stitch control, automatic needle threader, top drop-in bobbin, twin needle control, and see-through cover.
When hooked up to a PC, embroidering is as simple as the click of a mouse. Simply install the included Windows-compatible software to your computer, layout and edit your design, then download it to the embroidery machine and you are good to go. This machine includes AutoPunch software which allows you to convert just about any graphic file into embroidery designs or simply download your favorites from the internet or CD. Features include a built-in tutorial, 120 embroidery designs, 5 popular fonts, and two embroidery hoops (4 ½” x 6 ¾” and 3 1/8”x4 ¾”).

With some looking around, we were able to find about 20 reviews for this unit. Several people commented that it does a nice job in the sewing mode. A number of people also stated that this machine was easy to use after reading the manual and watching the tutorials.
The bad – apparently a lot. Over half of the reviewers gave this machine the worst possible rating. They stated that this machine is constantly breaking thread, is often unaligned, required many adjustments, leaves gap in embroidery designs, and tears material. One reviewer stated that her machine has already been sent in for repairs several times. Several reviewers commented that they had a difficult time learning the machine. Many reviewers also received numerous error messages, some accurate – some not. One reviewer stated that Singer customer service was horrible.
With all the negative reviews, there is no way that we can recommend this unit. Keep looking!
