We were only able to find about 10 reviews and they covered the complete range between good and bad.
The good- Several reviews commented that the machine was quick and easy to use. Some were also impressed with the automatic threader. A couple reviewers were also pleased with the quality of the embroidery. One reviewer commented that the software was easy to use and the larger hoop is nice considering the fact that machines of this price range normally only include the 4” x 4” hoop. Many reviewers also like the fact that many designs can be downloaded to the machine for very cheap and many times free.
The bad – One reviewer commented that the tension was not set well from the factory but was able to adjust it with help from an online support group. Another reviewer was not happy and pointed out that this machine does not have the ability to embroider with-out being attached to a computer. One reviewer stated that she received 2 broken machines and that Singer customer support was very slow. She also stated that the software was very difficult to install even though she is very computer savvy. Several reviewers reported having problems with parts breaking and again receiving terrible support from Singer.
Even though there were several raving reviews, we would not feel comfortable recommending this unit to anyone. Poor customer service seems common, not only on this model but others also. It appears that this is a decent sewing machine but not so much for embroidery. Keep looking!
